Trust

What is trust?? Trust is defined as 1. Firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of someone or something. Who do you trust? Is it yourself, your parents, your job, your spouse? It’s ok to have a certain level of trust in people but it MUST never be above our trust for and in GOD!! The arm of flesh will fail but our God will never fail-no matter how things look. Proverbs 3-5: ” Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding (Amplifed Version). Do you trust God to protect you and your family, to save your loved ones, meet your needs, heal, deliver you, empower you, use you??? Granted you may not trust God in every area at this point in your life but as you continue living and walking with God you will be confronted with situations and life in general that will cause you to see another facet of who the Father is! Please understand the enemy will challenge you in your mind, your will and your emotions but God and His word are more powerful than he we feel. Fear and anxiety cripple you, believe me I know and it can cause you to make some stupid choices. If we would just trust God and wait for direction we would avoid so many traps, disappointments, and problems in life. I’ve begun to mediate on the following scripture and incorporate it in my daily prayers ” Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your specific requests known to God.”Philippians 4:6 (Amplified version) Pray about every situation and trust God. We can rest in this, He loves us and His plans for us are good ! He’s not like man! Let us rise up in our God given authority, for His word says ” For God has not given us the spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self control] 2 Timothy 2:7 (Amplified version) This scripture ministered and convicted me at the same time. In my current position at work I’m faced with a lot of pressure and I found myself freaking out and making crazy decisions! But God who is rich in mercy – convicted me and exposed the spirit of fear in operation in my life. So join me and let’s take back our authority ! Trust God and let’s fulfill our purpose for the kingdom !

Let’s pray:

Father in the name of Jesus we come to you asking for forgiveness for not trusting in you! Father expose every area of our lives where we are not trusting you and are limiting your power to move on our behalf. Forgive us! Heal us from our past, where we were told we weren’t good enough, heal us from every embarrassing situation that paralyzed us. Father set us free from these strongholds and empower us by your Spirit to live a life of Faith. Stir up a desire in us for your presence and for your word! In Jesus name we pray amen!!

Much love ❤️Keia

  2. Awesome word on trust. I was in a place where I had so many decisions to make. But I thank God for this confirmation of trusting Him, and not letting fear over take me. Continue to let God use you. It’s much needed for such a time as this. Love you and so proud of you.😊
